On CDbaby you can order one CD for $14
If you order more than one it's 10% off so that's $12.60
Sell them for whatever price you want - keep the difference.


Example:-
Billy buys 15 CDs through cdbaby in the US
Cost 12.60 x 20 $252.- (before postage)
Billy keeps one for himself and sells 19 for $14.- = $266.-
Profit eh? small one but still it's a profit. I heard of a Band which offered this through CDbaby and some shops in their local scene bought 100 each - you do the math... ok I'll do it for you (100 CDs x $12.60 = $1260.00 - Shop sells 100 CD for $14.00 = $1400.00) Bigger profit now... hmmm... Depending on where you live there are postage fees as well so keep that in mind - It's still cheaper than the old way of buying CDs.
This is great for those in the USA and those who missed gigs in Switzerland.


For those in Switzerland you can (& should) order from cdbaby - remember the exchange rate is great for the Swiss Franc at the moment so the CD is cheaper through CDbaby (before postage) -
If you can make it to gigs the pricing is as follows:
1 CD = Sfr. 20.00
more than 1 CD - Sfr. 16.00 - (20% off)
Example:-
Reto buys 20 CDs for Sfr. 16

16 x 20 = Sfr 320.-
Reto keeps 1 CD and sells 19 CDs for 20.- = Sfr. 380.- see... Sfr. 60.- Profit

Example for Shops:

- "Rock Records and CDs" (not a real shop, well, not that I know of... but it's the kind of name a shop might have...) orders 100 CDs.
- 100 x Sfr. 16.00 = Sfr. 1600.-
- "Rock Records and CDs" then sells 100 CDs for Sfr. 20.- ummmmm 100 x Sfr. 20.- = ummmm... let me get that calculator out... aaaa... 2000.- Nice profit - Sfr. 400.-

I have had some requests to personally bring a CD by to sell - this is quite difficult as unless we happen to bumb into each-other and I've got a CD (or more than one CD) on me I won't be able to make a journey to wherever you work or live just to sell one CD... That's why the shop was set up and it has worked - So far people have made CDbaby orders from the USA, Italy, Holland and Switzerland and the feedback was great (on their service) - actually it's worth ordering from CDbaby simply BECAUSE the service is so cool (and funny) and most importantly it's revolutionising the music industry... They have also recently signed a special deal with "Ryko Disc" (a fantastic record label in the USA)...
